Bertrand Jaques prize

The Prix Bertrand Jaques is funded by the Fondation Bertrand Jaques and awarded annually by the Swiss Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

In the spirit of Bertrand Jaques, whose rich contribution to the development of the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery he passed on to his team, his closest circle of friends, colleagues and collaborators joined forces to create the Fondation Bertrand Jaques. The aim of this Fondation is to support the development of maxillofacial surgery, both in research, medical education and humanitarian work. The prize is awarded annually for the best lecture in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery given at the SSOMFS meeting. The evaluation of the papers will be done by a committee consisting of 3 elected members of the Society who will act as judges. They will select from the papers presented those that they judge to be original, clinically and scientifically relevant, and worthy of the award. All candidates in training to become oral and maxillofacial surgeons may apply for the prize. Application is made by submitting the abstract of the lecture with reference to the status "in training" and by delivering the lecture in person at the annual meeting of the SSOMFS.

Scholarship Bertrand Jaques

​

The Fondation Bertrand Jaques awards a scholarship every 2-3 years for an internship abroad or to finance studies in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
